Myth Buster
May 9, 2005 at 9:30 am AST by Rodney MacLeod

A cool show on TV now is Myth Busters. On it two guys take a look at different popular and not so popular myths and try to prove or disprove them. On it they have proved that it is possible to erode jail cell bars using salsa and a battery (although they figure it would take 4 or 5 months), they proved that by eating a couple of poppy seed bagel you can test positive on drug tests, and they disproved that a port a potty can naturally build up enough methane to make it explode.

Ashley told me that an official 175 gram ultimate Frisbee can hold a pitcher of beer. I took it upon myself to try and bust this myth. This one was easy enough. I took out my 175 gram ultimate Frisbee by WHAM-O and my beer pitcher that one of my past roommates pilfered from a local bar. We choose to fill the pitcher with water instead of beer and we poured the contents into the overturned Frisbee. To my surprise there was even room for a little bit more.

If Adam or Jamie happen across this, call me maybe we can bust myths together.

"bust myths" together........

Is that what the gay community is calling it these days??

OK, my previous post was a joke, but this one is serious!!
I am surprised to learn that an official 175 gram ultimate Frisbee can hold a pitcher of liquid..
It puts all kinds of crazy ideas in my head, such as, drinking beer out of a 175 gram ultimate Frisbee.

In our frisbee team in college, we used to have great competions of filling up a bunch of discs with as much beer as we could, and seeing who could drink their disc the fastest. The winner always got serious props. This cat named Paul drank his in 4 or 5 minutes once.
