Road Kill
July 18, 2005 at 11:21 am AST by Kent MacLeod

Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot of road kill on the road lately? I feel like I\'m seeing a lot of dead crows around as well. Is it the drivers are bad this year, the animals are slower, or the Road Kill Cafe is not is business?

i just made a trip over to moncton, and judging by the number of dead porcupines on the road there porcupines are alot slower than our skunks.

YES!!! lots of dead things on the road definitly. Skunks, coons, kittys, ducks, tigers, foxes, birds; nothing is safe from drivers these days. But is it really different than any other year? i think that the road crews are too busy tearing up our roads to clean them.
I hate running over dead skunks.

I have noticed a dramatic increase in roadkill this year. Especially birds. I have hit two birds myself. One ran into my antenna on the freeway and one bounced itself off my windshield. What's up with the critters this year?
