Replies (2) Cold FeetJanuary 10, 2005 at 10:08 am AST by Rodney MacLeodI do not know how many other cars are designed like this, but my floor vents suck. The air blows right on my ankles. Do the car manufactures not know where the gas pedal is, or do they not realize that that is where I put my right foot? And what about the foot pad that they put on the left hand side of the driver side floor, just inches away from the break. I would think that would be a logical place to direct the hot air. Instead the car manufacture chose to position the vents so that all of the hot air flows by my ankles leaving my toes cold. I drive a Hyundai Excel. Are there any cars out there that actually keep the drivers feet warm? Are there any other commonly used items that you know of that have what you may consider an obvious design flaw?
Replies (1) Doubling My DVD CollectionJanuary 7, 2005 at 8:51 am AST by Rodney MacLeodI don’t like buying DVDs. I love watching movies, but do not like buying them.
I often see a movie for sale and think, ‘I loved that movie. I could watch it a couple of times. I should buy it.” For the most part I do resist this urge. I usually don’t buy movies because I never do watch them, or at least I do not watch them as much as I thought I would.
Right now I own a few movies on vhs, and until yesterday four on DVD (one of which I have not watched after owning it for almost one year). My problem is that when I want to watch a movie I look at what is available in the house and then go rent a movie because I can watch a movie a have not seen yet, and the movies that are at my house will always be there to watch some other time. Some other time usually never happens.
Read on ...Replies (3) Offline ReadingJanuary 5, 2005 at 12:50 pm AST by Rodney MacLeodI like to read. Unfortunately I am not a very fast reader and I tend to get distracted easily. I have been reading One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest for a year now, not because I do not like it, but because I can only read a few pages at a time. If I can ever finish it, I have a list of books I would like to read. I few of them are at a reading level that I should be well beyond, but I do like children’s books.
