Great Marketing
October 20, 2004 at 2:16 pm AST by Rodney MacLeod

I have never been a fan of baseball. The last time I watched a baseball game was when the Blue Jays won the World Series, and even then I only watched the last couple of innings of the last couple of games.

I now find myself watching baseball again, and it is all because of this curse. I want to see this curse broke. I watched Sundays game go into extra innings, but not the extra innings. I watched from the tenth inning to the end of the game Monday night, and I might watch some of tonights game too.

The curse alone has drawn many people to watch and cheer for Boston. The Red Sox might even be more popular if they do lose this series with the Yankees. They would still have the curse drawing in fans. If Boston does get by New York (Does this break the curse, or do they have to win the World Series) and/or wins the World Series, I will lose interest in baseball and not watch the game for another 10 years.

If they do win the World Series I think they should sell Pedro Martinez to the Yankees and see if they can start a new curse and go another 86 successful years without winning the World Series.
