Golf Skins Games
July 5, 2004 at 1:21 pm AST by Kent MacLeod

So it's the week-end again and you're sitting down to watch TV and you notice a skins game on. So you decide to watch the game because hey it is 4 guys going head to head for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Each hole could be anybody's hole. But then you think about it......hey these guys playing are already millionaires or extremly rich anyways. They're just out here to have fun... Oh look Jon Daley is teeing off with a putter, doesn't look like he needs to win this hole. Now picture this....4 regular Joes, all of them maybe played the games 5 times each summer, average score 100, playing for $10,000.00 holes, now that would be great watching. People missing 2 foot puts for more money than they have ever seen. Golfers going for it from the woods. Five shots of out the bunker. More cursing than Chris Rock doing stand up. There caddies are there best friends. There caddies hardly ever play golf. Drinking allowed. I think that would be good watching

I am pretty sure I would watch that. I am positive that I would like to play in it.

That sounds like the best new reality show of the summer. Lets pitch it to FOX.

Kent, if you ever get a chance to play in a skins game for big money, DON'T DRINK, we all seen what happened at your stag party.... unless i'm playing against you, in which case i'll bring the revs for you.

reg joes skins. I like it-nike would not be on golfer's cap-replaced by john deere or kodiac-it would not be uncomon to see people in gallery wearing rubber boots-"what's in the bag" segment may not refere to what clubs a player uses but if fact may refer to the
player him self-the term "on the green"may not refer to a place where a ball landed but a place where player passed out..term 'on the fairway" as place where ball landed may be replaced with on the hyway,"break from right to left " may refere to direction fist was travelling when break was made in oppents nose when ruling are being made-post game interviews would not discuss the condition of greens & the difficulty in making putts-discussion would center on the undergrouth conditios in woods & the diffucultly in finding balls-water traps would be discussed as to the degree on difficulty in getting ball retrivers
to reach ball and not getting wet-staff at these events would consist of-marchalls-they would check players i d "s & out standing warrants-greens keepers would be assined to ensure players did not take home part of course to remember this day-grounds keeper would check course when play is ended & clean coarse of any left over players-judges would be person who decides if you will be held over or let out on bail.
